In 1961, four engineers, Edwin J. Barton, Kenneth R. Brown, James E. Clyde, and Frank A. Loguidice, merged their expertise to form Barton, Brown, Clyde & Loguidice, Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors. Working frequently with municipalities, public utilities, and agencies and occasionally with industry and business, the firm quickly established itself as an industry leader. As the firm grew, they added professionals skilled in many disciplines. In 1980, following the retirements of Ken Brown and Jim Clyde, the two remaining original founders continued management of the firm and changed the name to Barton & Loguidice, P.C. Under their leadership, the firm continued to expand its expert knowledge and experience in engineering. After 31 successful years as owners of B&L, Ed Barton and Frank Loguidice retired in 1992. The firm currently has 21 owners, including three principal owners, Nicholas J. Pinto, P.E., Robert W. Hornaday, P.E., and Paul F. Dudden, P.E.
